John Schroeder’s & Ron Szot’s Lancair Super ES
The
kit was brought home from Sun N Fun in April of 2001, and we have been working
on it ever since then. At the moment, we have 4,443 hours logged in the
builder’s log sheets.
As of
mid-March, we are in the final assembly stages. Major tasks include the
interior, baffle seals, cowling fasteners, engine setup and runs, rudder
re-balancing and ailerons balanced. Although we plan to spend a few days at Sun
N Fun, we hope to be able to fly in later April or early May. Of course,
whenever we forecast a time line, it never is met. But we do hope to make this
rather wide bracket on the calendar.

The
wonderful turnout by the Chapter members at our open house on March 20, 2006
was a real inspiration and help. Thanks to all who attended.
