posters and nametags for the event. Without these guys, the event would not have set records.
Kevin Cromie was the Ops/Admin. Assistant for the event and led the Concessions Stand Operation assisted by Michael Quinn, David Borders (and his daughters) and Bob Thayer. Good Food, Good Price, Good Profit!
Don Sink was responsible for getting our display aircraft along with Team Members Kent Ashton and me.
Bob Thayer was our Liaison with CHAC and assisted Tim Good and Dale Ensing in procuring panel members for the Barbeque Night.
Ray Petty (a dual member of EAA #309 and EAA #961 as am I) led the EAA #961 effort for the "Barbeque Evening" and their ticket and ride sales.
Sam Stewart was also the Liaison with the Concord Airport and the EAA B-17 Crew.
A Special Thanks to the leadership and staff of the Concord Airport who supported our Chapter for this event unconditionally.
The Flights for three B-17 Veterans were not without cost. One ride was sponsored by Howard Cochran and Don Sink. Another was sponsored by Tim Good and myself. The third ride was sponsored by Ken Ashton, Harry Onan, numerous members of EAA

#961, Don Sink and myself. Thank you for supporting these Veterans.
All Big Events have an "MVP" and this event is no exception…without Sam Stewart our success would not have been exceptional…Sam is our "MVP" for sure ! !
To all of you (named and unnamed) who participated in this event, THANKS!! Now everyone knows that EAA #309 stands for Excellence. It was an Honor to serve with you all!!
FROM THE PRESIDENTS CORNER:

So, by any measure, the B-17 event was a great success. The Concord Airport is happy, the EAA is happy and we should be happy.
While on the subject I want to share some feedback that we got from the EAA B-17 team. First, everyone was very impressed with our organizational abilities and how we had our teams set up. It seems that not all chapters go to the lengths we went to, to make the event a success. Secondly, the outside signs made a huge impression on the EAA folks
