City of Gastonia last week and he promised to have some news on our proposed hanger soon. In the meantime, steel and concrete prices are skyrocketing. Ouch!
Finally, from the "no news is good news" department. Kevin has told me that our efforts at selling bonds for our trailer are not going well. We all agreed to purchase the trailer and I believe that implied that the membership would support the decision financially. Yes, we have the money in the bank to cover the expense but we need to be protective of our hanger seed funds and if we can avoid using them (seed funds) then we should. Our track record for repaying bonds is excellent and as I stated, we have the funds to cover the debt. Now all we need is for everyone to participate. Send you checks to:

B-17 Aluminum Overcast Planning Meeting
Although there has been no news about the status of the B-17 repairs, we will continue with our planning for the September visit. Let's plan to meet at the Rheinland Haus (2418 Park Rd) on Monday, June 21st at 7:00 PM with all the B-17 team members and whoever else wants to come to start firming up our event plans.
No Regular Dinner Meeing this Month!
However, there will be a B-17 planning meeting - see article above. Anyone is welcome to attend.
