H
AVE YOU EVER WONDERED IF YOU COULD BUILD YOUR OWN AIRPLANE
? ? ?

THE EVER busy Bob Thayer is leading the planning for a workshop to be held at CHAC Museum on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Charlotte Douglas Airport. Seminars on building your own airplane.
Registration begins at 8:30 am; Seminars from 9:00 AM until Noon. $20 registration fee includes hot dog lunch and tour of CHAC museum. The agenda will be determined depending on how many folks sign up.  A low turn out will favor hands on workshops, a larger crowd will lead to several concurrent sessions covering several topics.
Topics include how to get started; selecting a project; facilities, skills and tools needed; inspections and FAA registration, etc.
Be sure to tell your friends  about this work shop.  Go to http://www.eaa309.org/Workshop/index.htm
, print and post whereever pilot/builder prospects may see.
Speakers will include Kent Ashton, Dale Ensing, Andy Moscarelli, and Ronnie Brown - all of whom are EAA Technical Counselors and have built and flown their own Homebuilt aircraft.
Call Bob Thayer at 704-664-6097 or email RDTDIVE@alltel.net to make your reservations.

Local FAA FSDO Programs
John Crouse of the Charlotte FAA FSDO office forwarded a schedule of programs that will be able for viewing in this office on the dates and times listed. Anyone interested should contact me at the Charlotte FSDO and I will reserve a position for

them!
Monday March 15 may be of interest to those planning to attend Sun n' Fun
this year, I will also tape this program and have available for those that
are unable to attend.

The URL at the bottom of the list links to the ORL FSDO is an addendum to the NOTAM for Sun n' Fun. For those who have not flown in to Lakeland, this may be of interest as it is  actual photos of landmarks and runways.
